New Case and Contact Requirements For All Positive COVID-19 Cases in the KFL&A Region

Today, KFL&A Public Health is implementing enhanced measures to address the confirmation of the Omicron variant and record high COVID-19 case counts in our region. Kingston— Today, KFL&A Public Health has been notified of the whole genome sequencing results of a sample from an individual positive for COVID-19. The sequencing confirms that the newly identified Omicron variant of the COVID-19 virus is present in the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington region.
